About This Album

Unearthed: A Symphony of Madness is a 54-minute instrumental work released in September 2025. Inspired by Andrew's seasons performing in Transylvanian Orchestra — a Halloween-themed theatrical rock show at Six Flags Over Georgia — and by his discovery of "dungeon synth" as a genre, Andrew wanted to expand on his previously released "Lovecraft Suite" and create a full album of dark instrumental synth pieces inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's cosmic horror mythology.

The album represents Andrew Doss at his most ambitious and atmospheric — a deliberately cinematic journey that eschews conventional song structure in favor of a slowly evolving narrative mirroring the descent of a Lovecraftian protagonist from initial curiosity to irrevocable madness. Throughout the fourteen tracks, Andrew establishes a haunting sense of scale where even silence feels monumental. Metallic reverberations, ghostly choruses, and subsonic rumbles emerge as if from behind the walls of perception.

The final passage opts for something more chilling than a violent climax: acceptance. The music flattens into a hypnotic loop, laced with icy harmonics and low, pulsing echoes — the sound of surrender and understanding one's insignificance in a vast and indifferent cosmos. Fans of Lustmord, Mica Levi, or the Dark Souls soundtracks will find much to admire here, though Andrew brings a voice that feels distinctively literary. The album also serves as the soundtrack to his Lovecraft Arcade game series.
