About This Album

Flight Plan is a collection of Andrew Doss's earliest instrumental singles, compiled into a "story so far" album and released on October 31, 2020. Prior to any full-length album releases, Andrew had been releasing individual instrumental singles as he learned how to use a DAW (Propellerhead Reason). This album brings those formative tracks together into a cohesive listening experience that documents the early development of his electronic music voice.

The fourteen tracks channel Andrew's lifelong fascination with airports, aircraft, space, and the feeling of departure into a sweeping electronic soundscape. The album draws a direct line from his childhood obsession with the Atlanta International Airport — the same fascination that would later produce "Concourse B" for the Delta Flight Museum — into a full-length work that captures the anticipation of takeoff, the serenity of cruising altitude, and the bittersweetness of arrival.

The production leans heavily into cinematic synthesizer textures, evoking the retro-futuristic optimism of 1980s aesthetics while maintaining a timeless ambient quality. For listeners who discovered Andrew through his vocal pop work, Flight Plan reveals the instrumental composer beneath — patient, atmospheric, and deeply evocative.
